LN4 Jacket

LN4 jacket details

Welcome!

If you choose to skip to the form please read the first section under the image below. It contains important information about one major change between the prototype and final jacket.

What WILL be different in the final

The pattern on the final jacket will be like the example image above.

The reason the prototype has a much smaller pattern is that the fabric was not created with the pattern at the correct scale originally.

Instead of wasting the material it was used on the prototype as a placeholder and to check the quality and fit of the jacket.

The final jacket will have the larger pattern above and will not be as busy or hectic as it looks in the prototype.

Features and details

The LN4 Jacket is a relatively light weight jacket. Heavier than a windbreaker, somewhere in the ballpark of a running jacket. The jacket is meant to be a versatile piece perfect for a wide range of occasions and daily use. It should keep you comfortable in the 45-55 degree range, but wont have you sweating in the low to high 60's, and can be layered to be comfortable in colder temps. Perfect for spring and fall, or even cooler summer evenings.

The jacket shell is a 90/10 poly spandex blend, with a polyester liner.

It also features a lapped zipper, and both of the pocket zippers are covered with a black flap.

The fit is relaxed, not too oversized but comfortable and roomy.

The jacket shown is a large, on 6'2" 190lbs.

Favorite details and things that may change

The pockets, rubber eyelets, precise embroidery and reversed pattern tag are some of my favorite little details about this jacket. When I was designing this the pattern was already a given, the pattern is what started the project, so I spent a fair amount of time thinking about what could be done to really tie everything together.

There are some very minor details that may change for the final jacket. None of them are going to have a major impact on the final result but I would like to at least address them in case anyone has feedback.

The size of the logo and number embroideries may change very slightly (smaller if anything).

Another small feature would be replacing the elastic bottom band with an adjustable rip cord for anyone who would prefer adjustability or the option to have the bottom of the jacket loose.

I'll also make the V effect in the center of the jacket a little more pronounced similar to the mockup at the beginning of the post.

Those are all of the changes I'm considering at this time, aside from that I am extremely happy with the quality, fit, and design we achieved with this project.

This has been a big undertaking and overall an incredible experience and chance to try something new. I appreciate and welcome any and all feedback you have! If you made it this far, thank you, hopefully we can bring this project to life!
